Scoring and Awards

Scoring:

The scoring will consist of three categories:

Battle Points: 60 pts

There will be three games at 20 points per game.  Each game will award points as follows

  • Win:  14pts
  • Draw:  10pts
  • Loss:  6pts
  • Objectives: 0-6pts

Composition: 18pts

Each game your opponents (2 per game) will rate your army on the following scale:

  • 0: Busted, thanks for munchkining my system
  • 1: Solid list, very competitive for 1000pts
  • 2: Well rounded list. Plays nice w/o crippling itself completely
  • 3: Battle for the Ham Hero, this list is ridiculous and has no game

Sportsmanship: 18pts

Each game your opponents (2 per game) will rate your attitude on the following scale:

  • 0: Busted, you either need to calm down or take a shower
  • 1: Good game but you’re very intense and/or argumentative
  • 2: Solid game, you had a good attitude and made this a great experience
  • 3: Battle for the Ham Hero, you are probably shit faced but you showed up to have a great time and enhance my experience as well.

Paint: 15pts

I will rate your army on the following scale: (conversions and singularly exceptional models will determine the range)

  • 0-3: All primed or unpainted
  • 4-6: Some painted models, mostly primed or unpainted
  • 7-9: All models painted to table top quality
  • 10-12: Very nice paint job, above average.  Layered and/or highlighted.  Effective use of washes (no gooping).
  • 13-15: Amazing paint, probably one of the two or three best in the room
  • THEMED ARMY: 12 pts - this army is entirely converted for a Christmas theme and as such might not have required painting, though it is based and prepared nicely.  Note that a themed army will not be considered for a painting award.

Bonus: 10pts

 You get bonus points for the following two things:

  • Costume: 5pts — If you make a decent attempt to add to the experience by wearing Christmas attire.
  • Converted Model: 5pts—If you convert or paint a model for the sole purpose of adding to the Christmas theme.  A THEMED ARMY obviously gets these points.

Awards

First, Second, and Third place awards will be given for the categories in red

The Saint Nicholas award for Best Overall: (Battle + Comp + Sports + Paint)

  • you get the Christmas Ham (1st place only), some prizes, and a final gift swap if you so choose

The Santa Claws award for Best General: (Battle + Comp)

  • you get some prizes and a final gift swap

The Alfie the Elf award for Best Paint: (Paint + Players Choice)

  • prizes and a final gift swap

The Tiny Tim award for Best Sport: (Sports + Comp)

  • prizes and a final gift swap

The Rudolph award for Player's Chioce: (player votes)

  •  prizes and a final gift swap

Best converted model: (player votes)
