Event Coverage

Leadership 2 attends events all over the world (though mostly in the US). We also run our own small and large events to support the hobby. For most events there are pictures in addition to the results and rules, etc. Where pictures exist we have provided links to the corresponding photo gallery.

2008 Alamo GT

Our third tour of San Antonio was quite eventful. We took home drinks, girls (or at least back to the hot tub), and Best Overall and Best General for two years running! Not too shabby considering the Texans play AND drink as hard as we do. (California = Quality; Texas = Quantity) It's just another reason why the Alamo is one of the most fun GTs of the year. Full results are available at the Alamo GT website.

Hillbilly Invitational 2008: The End of an Era

As a group, Leadership 2 had it's best performance ever at the Hillbilly, the biggest and most challenging tournament in the Unitesd States. As far as awards went, we left feeling a bit like the bridesmaid (albeit a drunken bridesmaid who's lips were stained with dry-rub barbecue spices), as we took home 2nd for almost every award possible. That is except for Cameron Shearer, L2's own youngblood, who set a great precedent for the future by bringing home Best Sportsman. Gratz Cam!

Life (or a cuzin) has finally caught up with Roy and this will be the last Hillbilly event. The Battle on Beale will continue, but our fond memories of wandering drunk along the Arkansas River at 2:00 a.m. to come home to a hotel lobby turned into an international bar by gamers for gamers will stay with us forever. As will the hobo doorknob horrors--though we wish they wouldn't. If you were related to us Roy, we'd kiss you.
